"Beautiful Singing"
Great range, beautiful singing. Njål Sparbo's interpretations radiate warmth. The melodies flow easily, his voice is pleasant, the intonation quite perfect. His enunciation is clear, without being overdone, and underlines the essential purity of these songs.
B.S.Kraglund, Vårt Land, October 7, 1993.
"Great Lied-singing"
... and this is one of the great aspects of Njål Sparbo's interpretations: the words appear just as essential as they should. His well-developed bass-baritone makes priority of the poem, and yet each song is given its own individual musical quality.
Fædrelandsvennen, November 4, 1993.
